Rumours are circulating about who will replace David Tennant’s Doctor Who. Last weekend Catherine Tate confirmed to Jonathan Ross on his Radio 2 show that she was leaving the programme and that David may be also considering an exit in the near future. So far in the running is Welsh actor Rhys Ifans and comedian Jennifer Saunders. Other names include John Simm and James Nesbitt as Tennant’s future successor. So far the BBC has made no comments about the lineup but has confirmed that the time-travelling drama will be on our screens until 2010.
