A sequel to Peter Kay's Britain's Got The Pop Factor…. spoof reality TV comedy will be broadcast this Christmas reports The Sun.

The show’s loveable wannabe pop-star Geraldine McQueen, played by Peter Kay poked fun at the talent show format, its aspiring singers and the judges. A single The Winner’s Song, released after the show reached number two in the UK charts beating last year’s actual X Factor winner Leon Jackson’s single by one place.

The next episode of the programme, The Winner’s Story will coincide with the release of Once Upon A Christmas Song penned by Take That star Gary Barlow.
 
In October, a disgruntled Simon Cowell described Peter Kay's single as "a pathetic waste of time".
