Terry Wogan to quit Eurovision

Terry Wogan has said he may not present the Eurovision Song Contest again. After presenting the BBC’s coverage of the annual competition for 37 years, the Radio 2 DJ has told the Radio Times that it is "time for someone else to take over".
Terry’s comments follow the increasing trend in the competition for countries to vote for their neighbours. This year’s British entrant Andy Abraham received only 14 points, while the Russian winner was awarded with 272. "Days before the show, I knew Russia would win.” He added.
"It's unfortunate, I suppose, but whereas we have always taken Eurovision with a pinch of salt, the former Eastern Bloc countries are not sufficiently versed in the ways of democracy to realise they are supposed to be voting for a song, not a next-door neighbour." Terry said.
