About me
Being a presenter isn’t something I just dream about. I am 100% dedicated to carving a career out of presenting.
Shortly after graduating university with a degree in 'media and communication', I landed my first job in radio as a ‘flying eye’ traffic and travel reporter. It didn’t matter that I was petrified of flying – I took off everyday from Southend airfield to broadcast important travel news to listeners because of my huge passion for presenting.
I am now a freelance radio presenter but really want to make it in television. I have a particular interest in entertainment reporting but find all presenting experiences enjoyable. I have worked hard and long hours to gain experience in front of camera by hosting pilot programmes. My most recent unpaid project was presenting a documentary about a new girl band. It was such an interesting shoot – I loved experiencing the contrasts between the interviews with the girls auditioning and the interviews and discussions with the judges.
A quality that I feel helps me be a good presenter is my confidence and friendliness. This allows me to build up good rapports with people and hopefully make them feel at ease – I think this allows me to bring the best out in people.
