Profile: Guy Ruddle

Guy Ruddle is Editor of Telegraph TV and Telegraph Talk. He is responsible for all of the Telegraph Media Group’s rapidly expanding audio and video on demand content. He joined the Telegraph at the beginning of 2006 when he became what is believed to be the first Podcast editor of a major newspaper anywhere in the world.
In the last year he has masterminded the introduction of the first rolling news video bulletin produced by a national newspaper and the launch of a stable of 10 weekly or daily programmes on subjects ranging from personal finance to travel and fashion to motoring.
Since its launch in August 2007 Telegraph TV’s user initiated play rate has risen from zero to well over 2 million a month.
Until October 2005 Guy presented the award winning Radio 5 Live business show Wake up to Money. In that role he won a Wincott award for radio programme of the year and the show was also the Plain English Campaign’s radio programme of the year in 2003.
