Rageh Omaar

Rageh Omaar is a British television news presenter and writer. He began his career as a BBC world affairs correspondent, where he made his name reporting from Iraq.

In 2006 Rageh became a Middle Eastern correspondent for the UK Broadcasting Division of Al Jazeera News, where he currently presents the nightly weekday documentary series Witness.

As well as an experienced news presenter Rageh has fronted many documentaries including The Dead Sea Scrolls, BBC and Immigration: The Inconvenient Truth, Channel 4. As a writer his titles include Revolution Day: The Real Story of the Battle for Iraq and Only Half of Me:Being a Muslim in Britain.
