How do you watch TV?

Do you sit down with a remote control and hop until you find something interesting? Do you have a TV listings magazine compulsively highlighted with all your favourite shows? Do you send everything via Sky+ and blitz it at weekends? Do you bypass the channels altogether and rely on dvds or the internet? Or do you just not actually watch any TV at all?!

Freeview all the way - and VOD at work. I absolutely love plugging myself in and escaping the much to hectic world!

I use tvtv for the listings and record onto my iMac, have some macros set up which look up shows that could be of interest as well

It's a bit old-school in my flat - only 5 channels! So not a great deal of choice really. I do have lots of box sets though - love the fact you can zip through the theme music and onto the action!

I'm usually too busy to sit down and arrange my life around the programs I watch, and since I don't have Sky+ I have to rely on +1 services and on demand services like 4OD and BBC iPlayer!

I LOVE TV. I lost my Sky recently after it got knocked off the roof by a stray surveyor who denies all accusations. So I have been sent back in time to terrestrial TV that I haven’t watched solely for about 4 years. It was painful at first, but I quite enjoy it. I am watching a lot less crap. I use the 65p TV weekly to guide me through my nights. In consequence of this disaster I have started watching coronation street to fill in time gaps. In horror of admitting this the Sky dish is coming back with a +

Strangely I like watching TV in the schedule rather than time shifted. The best way to get a proper feel for a show is to know what's on around it, what ads go on in the break, how it feels going out at that time etc.

I just watch this 14 year old on you tube who does mock continuity announcements for 'YTV' (he obviously doesn't approve of the scrapping of regional continuity).. ;o)

To be honest - life is so busy and fast paced that I don't think I would watch any of the programmes I love if I didn't have Sky+.

I make use of radiotimes.com when I'm actually in on an evening and don't have any DVDs which strike my fancy, but I still miss loads of what I meant to watch. I really need a freeview box with hard drive soon.

Depends how i feel to be honest - sad to say but im a channel hopper - im still not happy with the quality of internet tv but i do like the idea of skipping adverts. I certainly wouldnt choose the internet as a source for viewing my favourite shows.
Big fan of the DVD box set though - no annoying cliff hangers ever again!!
