Ofcom is approaching the end of the first phase of its review of public service broadcasting.  The review will consider far-reaching options for the future regulation and funding of public service content and the implications for the existing public service broadcasters.

In advance of publication of its first report in April, Ed Richards will describe Ofcom's analysis of the prospects for and challenges to public service broadcasting in a digital, broadband world.
