Forum Rules
The rules for acceptable behaviour when posting content to the RTS Futures site.
Acceptance of Forum rules
These rules set out the terms for use of the RTS Futures Forums (“the Forums”), which apply to all users. Any submission of material by you to the Forums means that you accept, and agree to abide by, all the terms and conditions of these Rules.
The Rules supplement our terms of website use and our privacy policy.
RTS Futures Forum is a site operated by the Royal Television Society. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 249462 and our registered office is at Kildare House, 3 Dorset Rise, London EC4Y 8EN.
Monitoring
The Forums are not moderated but it will be monitored by us from time to time. We will not be responsible as author, editor or publisher of any contribution submitted to the Forums and we expressly exclude our liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of the Forums by any person in contravention of these Rules. We reserve the right to promptly remove, or to disable access to, any contribution which we deem to be potentially defamatory of any person, unlawful or in violation of any third party rights. Audio-visual content uploaded by users will be vetted by us before it is posted on the Site but no other contributions will be vetted prior to their posting.
Submission of Contributions
Before making a contribution you must register with the Forums by completing the registration form [insert link to registration form]: Your name, your position and the name of your company (if applicable) will appear as part of your contribution when published.
To add a contribution to a discussion, please follow the instructions on the webpage of the relevant Forum.
There is no limit to the length of a contribution. If you would like to start a new thread for discussion, please check that a similar thread is not already active, then use the “Create a new Topic” link at the bottom of the webpage of the relevant Forum and follow the instructions.
Please refrain from posting multiple contributions.
Content Standards
These content standards apply to each part of a contribution as well as to its whole and must be complied with in spirit as well as to the letter. The Royal Television Society will determine, in its discretion, whether a contribution breaches these content standards.

Copyright
By submitting a contribution to any of the Forums, you agree to grant the Royal Television Society a non-exclusive licence to use that contribution. Although you will still own the copyright in your contribution, the Royal Television Society will have the right to freely use, edit, alter, reproduce, publish and/or distribute the material contained in your contribution. This licence will be free of charge and for the period of your membership of the Site.
By submitting your contribution to the Forums, you are warranting that you have the right to grant the Royal Television Society the licence described above. If you are not in a position to grant such a licence to the Royal Television Society, please do not submit the contribution to the Forums.
Breach of these Rules
When we consider that a breach of the Content Standards has occurred, we may at our discretion take such action as we deem appropriate. Failure to comply with these Rules constitutes a material breach of the terms of use on which you are permitted to use the Forums, and may result in our taking all or any of the following actions:

Complaints about Contributions
If you wish to complain about any contribution posted to any of the Forums, please select the “Report of Abuse” option which appears on each page of the Forums. We will then review the contribution and decide whether it complies with our Content Standards. We will deal with any contribution which, in our opinion, violates our Content Standards as described above (see section "Breach of these Rules").

We may revise these Rules at any time. You are expected to check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes we make, as they are legally binding on you.
